Johnny Reed
Reed has served as Register of Deeds for Bedford County since September 1, 2002. He is a lifelong resident of Bedford County and spent 27 years in the grocery business before being elected to his current office. Mr. Reed has been married to Kathy Reed for 38 years, and they have two children.
He and his family attend First Christian Church where he serves as elder, youth leader, and sings in the choir. He is active in the American Cancer Society and participates in the Hee Haw Howdy show fundraiser and Relay for Life each year. Mr. Reed served as Activities Co-chair for the Bedford County Bicentennial Celebration in 2007. He serves as Board Chairman of United Way of Bedford County. He also finds time to coach soccer and baseball. Mr. Reed is active in the Tennessee and Middle Tennessee Register of Deeds Associations. He currently serves as chaplain of the Tennessee Register’s Association and was a past President of the Middle Tennessee Association. He is a certified Public Administrator.
