T.C.A. 55-10-301 required to attend a driver education course approved by the department of safety in addition to our in lieu of any other penalty imposed.


Course Overview
The goal of the National Safety Council’s DDC4 is to create self-awareness around the challenges associated with driving in today’s society. The course provides participants with tools, tips and techniques that offer positive choices in regard to driving decisions and motivates them to embrace personal change in their diving behavior and attitudes. The course is designed to address three conditions and the vehicle. The course provides drivers with knowledge and safe driving techniques to prevent collisions and violations. This course challenges the participants to choose responsible behaviors.

This course focuses on collision prevention through hazard recognition and application of collision-avoidance techniques. Additionally, the course addresses common driving violations that result in collisions and how to change driving habits to eliminate moving violations. Throughout the 4-hour course, participants learn how to recognize both potential and immediate hazards, how to avoid collisions in a variety of driving conditions and how to choose safe and legal driving behaviors. The emphasis is on identifying and choosing safe and legal behind-the-wheel behaviors and actions.

The Defensive Driving Course addresses the following topics:

Driving School is located in Bedford County Business Complex, 200 Dover Street, Suite 110 (Old Medical Arts Building) Shelbyville, TN 37160

Times: 5:30PM – 9:30PM please arrive 15 min prior.

Cost: $150 cash or money order. No personal checks will be accepted.
